She Said "Yes!"

We started with a swipe and ended up at forever. Two complete strangers who swiped right and decided to meet at a State Park… and just a little over two years later, here we are. Brent walked into my life when I least expected it and changed it in all the best ways. He proposed at my favorite place—Split Rock Lighthouse—and I still can’t believe how lucky I am. I’m so grateful for this love, for our future, and for the wonderful family I get to join. November 15th will forever be one of my favorite days.

Joe and Lainey met at UWEC and became best friends throughout college. After they graduated they started dating, adopted two dogs, and a few years later, Joe proposed on a beach in Hawaii!

Everyone thought we were crazy when our third ever date we flew across the country to Austin, TX for a long weekend. However, although it was our third date, it felt like we had known each other for 30 years. The first picture we ever took together was on the pedestrian bridge in Austin. This year, while trying to plan another long weekend trip Kayla suggested we should go back to Austin. A light bulb went off. THATS PERFECT. I already had the ring but had no idea how I was going to propose. But after booking our trip I knew exactly how I was going to do it. I told Kayla we had reservations so we had to dress up and walk to the restaurant. While on the bridge, I stopped her where it all started, where we took our first picture together, and asked her to marry me. She said yes while dozens of people walked by congratulating us and buskers played “here comes the bride.” A moment we will never forget.
